Mary Coutts Michie (15 December 1863 - 6 April 1936) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
editHer father was Harry Michie (April 1821 - 2 January 1896), a general merchant from Strathdon in Aberdeenshire.
Her mother was Elizabeth Coutts (29 March 1823 - 16 October 1897) from Towie, Aberdeenshire. Harry and Elizabeth married c. 1845.
Mary Coutts Michie was born on 15 December 1863 in Birse, Aberdeenshire.
Her brother James Coutts Michie also became an artist.

editShe died on 6 April 1936 in Edinurgh. Her usual address was 7 Craighouse Terrace, Edinburgh. Her estate was valued at £142, 12 shillings and 9 pence. [3]
