Laura Bennie (13 May 1871 - 22 May 1945) was a Scottish painter.^[1]^[2]

Life

Her father was James Bennie (1834 - 1884) from Newry in Northern Ireland.

Her mother was Margaret Muir Smith (18 October 1837 - 4 November 1905) from Paisley.

Laura Jane Bennie was born on 13 March 1871 from Tradeston in Glasgow.

She married the art master of Hamilton Academy, John Loudon (born c.1870).

She died on 22 May 1945 in Pitlochry in Perthshire. Her usual address was at Moorvale, 3 Bellevale Quadrant in Ayr.
