James Hector (24 August 1868 - 4 June 1940) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
editHis father was William Hector (born c. 1849) in Old Machar, Aberdeen.
His mother was Henrietta Hay (born 1846) from Edzell. William and Henrietta married on 30 November 1860 at 47 Park Street, Aberdeen.
James Alexander Hay Hector was born on 24 August 1868 in Old Machar, Aberdeen.[3]
He married Maggie Jane Simpson Badenoch (15 January 1869 - 18 March 1947) in 1901 in Aberdeen.
