John Grant (13 June 1798 - 20 January 1873) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

His father was Francis Grant (1746 - 26 July 1818), the Laird of Kilgraston in Perthshire.
His mother was Anne Oliphant (17 April 1765 - 6 November 1837). Francis and Anne married on 27 February 1796 in Edinburgh.
John Grant was born on 13 June 1798 in Kilgastron, near Bridge of Earn.
His younger brother was the artist Francis Grant.
