James Gilmour (6 April 1862 - 17 December 1937) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

Life

His father was George Gilmour (c. 1832 - 6 January 1911), a shawl manufacturer from Paisley.

His mother was Elizabeth Taylor (c. 1834 - 28 September 1873). George and Elizabeth married on 4 April 1854 in Paisley.

James Wilson Gilmour was born on 6 April 1862 at 140 George Street, Paisley.

He married Annie McLintock (c. 1866 - c. 1933) from Glasgow on 11 June 1891 at the Waterloo Rooms on Wellington Street, Glasgow.

Death

He died on 17 December 1937 at his home on 43 Fernleigh Road, Cathcart, Glasgow. He died of an infarction of the lung and pericarditis.
