James Elder Christie (1847 - 14 August 1914) was a Scottish painter.[1]
Life
editHis father was Henry Christie (born c. 1825) from St. Andrews, an engine keeper and fireman.
His mother was Jane Wann (born c. 1826) from St. Andrews.
James Elder Christie was born in St Andrews in Fife in 1847.
He married Caroline Mary Walters (1854 - 12 February 1941).[2]

editHe died on 14 August 1914 in Balham, London. He stayed at 76 Foxbourne Road. His effects were valued at £67 and 14 shillings.
