Marie de Banzie (15 September 1918 - 15 December 1989) was a Scottish painter.[1]
Life
editHer father was Arthur Chadwick de Banzie (1889 - 2 May 1964) from Glasgow.
Her mother was Edith Jenny Taylor (29 November 1888 - 1978) from Glasgow. Arthur and Edith married in 1916 in Glasgow.
Marie de Banzie was born on 15 September 1918 in Glasgow.
Marie married Herbert Marston (25 September 1922 - 13 May 1975) from New York. They married on 25 September 1947 in New York.
She then moved to the United States.
Art
editShe studied at the Glasgow School of Art and then studied at Hospitalfield House in Arbroath.[2]
She was part of the New Scottish Group.[3]
Death
editShe died on 15 December 1989 in Rutland, Vermont.
