Cemetery Memorial Park is a public park in Ventura, California, United States, consisting of two cemeteries that have been closed to further burials. The Catholic Diocese of Monterey-Los Angeles in 1862 acquired a parcel of land east of the city to establish a cemetery. In 1870, the First Presbyterian Church acquired an adjacent parcel for a public cemetery. By 1882, formal and informal sections were set up for other religious and ethnic groups, including one for Chinese plots. The Catholic Church consecrated its sector as St. Mary’s Cemetery in 1883.[1]

wherein grass and trees were planted after the grave markers were removed.
