Notes on 4-hydroxybenzoate 3-monooxygenase:
- Structural studies due for update
- Needs in-text citations
- No information regarding the mechanism at all
- No information regarding active site residues in the introduction
- "The oxygen incorporated need not be derived from O2 with NADH or NADPH as one donor, and incorporation of one atom o oxygen into the other donor." This sentence could be worded much better or omitted entirely. Very confusing.
- Listing off the names in bold is very distracting
- Images generated from Pymol or similar software would help
- Showing the basic reaction scheme and then immediately stating what the substrates and products are is pretty redundant
Notes on Enzyme Catalysis:
- Article very well organized.
- In-text citations to reputable sources
- Good use of figures for reaction mechanisms
- "Examples of Catalytic Mechanisms" section has a bunch of typos and could use more information for each example
