Hi, I’m new to Wikipedia, an Electrical Engineer and fluid mechanics specialist working in the field of Cogeneration. I have written several articles on Engineering sites, particularly on high voltage gas insulated switchgear and substations (GIS). GIS can reduce the area required for switchgear up to 90% by enclosing high voltage breakers in compartments pressurized with Sulfur-hexafluoride gas (SF6) to prevent close proximity arching. This has the benefit of condensing large unsightly electric substations to a small footprint and cost effectiveness in real estate application. I have an interest in the Pro-Life movement and assisted in writing minor articles for several Pro-Life web sites.
