Captain Daniel Patrick
editCaptain Daniel Patrick was a soldier of English extraction serving in Central Europe in the years immediately before the Thirty Years' War. During this time he married Anne Brigette Dieter, also known as Anneke Van Beyeren. He and his wife joined the Winthrop Fleet, which sailed for New England in the Spring of 1630. In Massachusetts he was employed as a soldier by the colonial government, and later moved again to Connecticutt, where he helped found the town of Greenwich. Patric was killed in 1643 by a dutch soldier.
