Innukjuakju Pudlat

Innukjuakju Pudlat (alternatively known as Inukjurakju, Innukjuakjuk, Inujurakju, Innukjuakjuk Pudlat, Inukjurakju Pudlat, Innukyuarakjuke Pudlat, Innukjuarakjuke Pudlat), (1913-1972) was a graphic artist with the West Baffin Eskimo Co-operative in Cape Dorset. She and her husband Pudlo Pudlat, a well-known artist from Cape Dorset, worked in similar ways. Her work was included in the first Cape Dorset Print Collection, and she continued drawing up until she became sick in 1970. Innukjuaku's work has been exhibited across Canada and the United States, as well as Sweden, and is included in the collections of the National Gallery of Canada, the Canadian Museum of History and the Glenbow Museum in Calgary, the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery in Vancouver, among many others. An Innukjuakju Pudlat drawing was also used on a UNICEF greeting card.
