Iswari Koirala was born on 1959 by his mother, Manamaya Koirala and father Ravilal Koirala, in Taplejung District, Nepal. He received his early education and started his political career. He was interested in politics due to his external surroundings and the political wave.

Koirala's political journey commenced in the when he joined the Nepali Congress. He swiftly rose through the ranks due to his dedication to social welfare and democratic principles. Koirala played a pivotal role in various political movements, striving for the establishment of a democratic system in Nepal.
Throughout his career, Koirala held several key positions within his party, where he actively contributed to shaping the party's policies and strategies.
During Nepal's transition from a monarchy to a federal democratic republic, Koirala emerged as a prominent figure advocating for the rights of marginalized communities. Iswari Koirala's demised on November 27, 2020, due to COVID-19 infection. After spending many days at Nobel Medical College, Biratnagar he passed away.
