I chose the User Name 'A40DeepStrike' because it accurately reflects, associates and validates my credentials. I was assigned to 3rd Armored Division (Artillery) from 1988-1992. My sole unit of assignment was 'A' Battery 40th Field Artillery, MLRS (aka. A/40th Deep Strike!) the only MLRS unit ever assigned to 3AD. I was stationed and lived on Francois Kaserne in Hanau, Germany. I actively served with 3AD during the final years of the Cold War, deployment and combat during Operation(s) Desert Shield, Desert Storm and Provide Comfort and redeployment back to Germany. I was also present during the subsequent reduction in force leading to the deactivation of the 3rd Armored Division.
