If you don't make mistakes, you're not working on hard enough problems. And that's a big mistake.

Good Article Nomination

The Sims 3 has been nominated to be a good article and we couldn't have done it without you. Let's hope it passes! Zach.vega1 (talk) 01:16, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
BINI have a bin for all my deletions and removals. So that their creators can refer back to them; in the case of finding more reasons to have them where they were originally deleted.

Maxis?

edit
Are we deleting the Sims task force or something?

Well, that was the concensus some time ago, but nobody acted on it. I think it's a good idea to broaden the scope until we have enough activity on directied to the Sims pages. Plus: means some of the SmiCity and other Sims stubs will get some love. If there's still not enough activity on even the Maxis Scope, then we move on to the EA scope; anything but sinking into the task force quicksand that WP:VG is. Aiden 10:08, 13 September 2011 (UTC)

Anyways. I won't delete the Sims Task force. I'm waiting on yet another consensus as to whether STF should be deleted and merged with MWP or just leave STF to collect dust—or say leave it to the minority actually doing something—and delete MWP. Aiden 10:34, 13 September 2011 (UTC)

Just as there needs to be a consensus to delete a taskforce, there needs to be a consensus to create a wikiproject (which might i add, would've been safer to just make it a task force, as a project is blowing it out of proportion).Bread Ninja (talk) 19:59, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
Just a thought - if STF is deleted and merged with MWP, what task force handles The Sims 3 article and its respective stuff packs and expansion packs? Zach Vega (talk) 23:04, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
The Maxis task force—semantics has changed, didn't know the dif between TF and WP, now I do: so I'll refer to it as MTF; if I ever do again. Considering I've no longer chosen to continue pushing a solution.

As in: convo ended. MWP page I created, I deleted. However, could be revived as WP:VG/Maxis.

But, see, there's inactivity all together. Both topics and scopes still won't cultivate enough activity, won't scoop up enough creativity and united forces, that's what dear Bread Ninja (lol) pointed out: how could I (or anyone for that matter) think that there would be any activity anyway if I did create this Maxis TF. I thought about making a corresponding EA TF but then I choose to stop, not give a flying, and go back to practising cursive and writing for SimPrograms.) Aiden 23:10, 13 September 2011 (UTC)

Marketing

Done.

Tikkity-boo (means good). I wonder what else is missing from the Sims 3 page, if anything xD Aiden 01:04, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

I thought so too, until I saw the small audio section. I then added the soundtracks and their respective infoboxes. Zach Vega (talk) 01:21, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

Well a community section for the sites, TS3's impact, the tours EA does for expansion pack releases, a section for the SimGurus, etc. But that would bring up to many tags. Hmmm.

Talking bout' audio. Another step is to make a recording of the page, a little far but definitely a sprint forward to the GA, or even FA (possible.)

Also: maybe a talk on the Sims 4. It's early signs of confirmation. It's all well documented in the archives of many Sims fansite posts. Aiden 01:30, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

I'm up for a section about the modding community (e.g. MTS and Fresh-Prince) , EA delivering content through fansites (e.g. SimPrograms), and impact on society, although I'd put impact under reception. Could you elaborate on "make a recording of the page"? As for TS4, that'd bring up many undos and reverts. Zach Vega (talk) 01:48, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

Well nevermind it was more of a cherry on top thing to do for later. But now the article is going through a lot of change really fast—mostly by you and your incredible powers—so making a recording of the pages info would seem untimely.

Also: because the reaction to The Sims 3 came from all corners, and it was a very popular release. Shouldn't the Reception section have some quotes from the best/most notable reviews?

Just so you know: EA doesn't post under SimPrograms. Actually, EA has no relation what so ever with EA other than it posts news on The Sims. Just sayin, maybe I misunderstood?

Plus: should TS3 note the whole 'eagerly awaiting fans stood out in hordes, camped and ready for the release at their closest stores' note exactly like that but just, noting the anticipation and frenzy over the release of the game.

Ok 1 more: um, maybe the Impact on Society should be on the Sims 1, or maybe for TS1 and 3 for both respective impacts. Hmmm Aiden 01:56, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

I think I figured out what you meant. As in finding audio samples of some of the songs? If so, I'm all for that. As for quotes, you mean like this? I meant that fan sites are kinda like EA news aggregators. Impact might possibly go under The Sims (series) as all three changed the landscape of gaming. Zach Vega (talk) 02:08, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

Yes. Yes. Yes. And: Yes. Thanks for the Barnstar btw. :) Aiden 02:24, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
