I spent twenty years, 1989 to 2008, at the New York Public Library at 42nd Street researching American newspapers to write American baseball player biographies. Towards the end of this span, I often accessed Wikipedia to check and double-check original source details that I happened across for many Wikipedia subjects. I still access original source news items from time to time, and you never know what you might find in the search for something else! I am also the eldest son of American photographer Tony Vaccaro. In 2014 he, at the age of 91, allowed me to 'touch' his negatives for the first time, and I helped him open his new photo studio and archive. I'll add facts to his page based on the negatives we find. I would never go by his memory and word right now: he's getting a little forgetful.
