Jagdishpur Estate (Uttar Pradesh)
Jagdishpur State is Jamindaar State of the Basti district, Uttar Pradesh, India. The last king that ruled here was Pt. Har Narayan Pandey rais and taluqdar ,jagdishpur, P.O , Parshurampur , Basti .He was a master in hindi and urdu . he was totally exempted from the arms act of taluqdar . he worked always as a district board member and generally helped in every public fuction and acted as an honorary magistrate for a long time . he paid a land revene of about rs 14000 annually to government. he was awarded a sword of honour , one gold watch , a chogha and a dushala in the durbar of 1st september, 1859 . he is a premier landlord in harriya tahsil . he was a mnafidar of nawab asf-ud-daula , as for jagdishpur , majgawan , kheri bagh and pattia he paid rs 1000 toward s important subcriptions rs 1000 towards war funds n invested rs 3600 in war bonds , and rs 1000 in postal certificates . he also helped in recruiting and supplied 25 recruits and coolies . he was very loyal to the british government and he was blessed with two sons K.Shyam pratap narayan pandey and K.Prem Narayan pandey. Jagdishpur was amongst the largest n recognised state of uttar pradesh during british rule in India.
