Global Warming : Short Essay

Global warming isn't a prediction. It is happening.

Global Warming is the increase of Earth's surface temperature due to effect of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide emissions from burning fossil fuels or from deforestation. Climate scientists have found that the average temperature of the Earth has risen between 0.4-0.8 °C over the past 100 years and also predicted that average global temperatures could increase between 1.4 and 5.8 °C by the year 2100.

Many problems could result from global warming. One of the biggest problems is rising sea level. This could result in the flooding of low lying coastal areas and cities, such as Egypt, the Netherlands, and Bangladesh. Some countries might even disappear completely! The pollution that causes global warming is linked to acid rain. Acid rain gradually destroys almost everything it touches.

Kyoto Protocol - an international treaty which was signed in 1997 in Tokyo to reduce greenhouses gas emissions.

There are many other ways to save the earth from the harmful effects of Global Warming.

👉 Planting Trees- Trees absorb carbon dioxide and releases oxygen. Trees are helpful in reducing the problem of global warming

👉 3 R's- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

👉 Spread the Awareness- Always try your best to educate people about global warming and it’s causes and after affects. Tell them how they can contribute their part by saving energy that will be good for the environment .

We, human beings are also affected by this term global warming. We should take care of our earth after-all Earth does not belong to us. We belong to earth!
