Notes for Week 3 assignment:

I've chose the same article I wrote about for Week 2 assignment. Article : Mobile social network

Strengths: contents are well organized, the main description of mobile social network is detailed, and overall fair amount of references.

Weaknesses: not all contents are up to date, main description of mobile social network lacks in references, and references aren't used properly and not distributed equally throughout the article.

I have decided to add a new information about what type of mobile social network is popular because I thought it would be an important information that addresses current situation of mobile social network. People who are interested in mobile social network would like to know what is trending now a days and in what direction the mobile social network is improving on.

Notes for Week 2 assignment:

article: Mobile social network

length is acceptable not too long but not too short. well organized with different contents. different contents have short description. descriptions for most of content seem up to date.

first of all, the most important part of an encyclopedia, main description(definition) is not cited. it seems as there are many references but it is cited incorrectly.

some sources were unreliable because it was mostly from news articles or official websites.

all the different contents were relevant to the article topic. there weren't any specific part where something felt misplaced.

there weren't any specific part of the article that were biased. For the most part, the article was neutral and the counter view was shown where it almost led to showing bias. example with dating app.

an article that points out the crimes that relates to dating app is biased towards how unsafe it is to use a dating app. It doesn't touch on the good side of using a dating app.

one part that seemed overrepresented was the safety issues. since it listed all the severe accidents that are related to mobile social network, it makes it sound like that is the norm and scare the readers on using mobile social network. The article should've at least briefly touch on the pros of using mobile social network.

all the links that I clicked on worked. However, I found some plagiarism as I explored through the references. The most obvious plagiarism was found from the content of history. original source had a chart that described each generations of mobile social network.

none of the information was out of date.
