Article Evaluation

edit
  • The article I chose is on information literacy in the United States.
  • There are a lot of references.
  • All the links on the article work and it offers an exact definition on what the words mean, which gives the reader a better understanding of how the words are used and how they relate to the topic.
  • I noticed that in the beginning of the paragraph, there are two different sources that have the same definition to a phrase, so maybe that is something that should be fixed.
  • The article contained a contents page and I think that is a good idea because it can help the readers read exactly what they were looking for and not to keep scrolling and in the end it turns out they didn't find what they were looking for.
  • I noticed that when there was a quotation from a source or author, there weren't any quotation marks, and it didn't send you to the article like others did.
  • Everything relates to the article and it describes how everything is used and how it affects everyone else. what I found distracting was that it involved other countries, even though it had said it was just relating to the U.S.
  • Some of the links lead to a website but there was nothing on the website.
  • None of the information seemed bias, everything was based on pure information .
  • The article I read had to do on how to look for the information and how to use it, while in class it deals of what to do after looking is using that information.

The Hat

edit

What I plan to contribute to this article is add pictures of the restaurant and of the food. I would also like to contribute by adding more things that are served and what dish made them popular and well- known. Since the article is brand new, there is not a lot of information now, I would add information on the history of the restaurants and where the first restaurant was established.

Bibliography

edit

- The Hat.com(Official Website).

- The San Gabriel Tribune

The Hat is a popular restaurant in southern California and it is well-known for its pastrami sandwiches. It started out as a restaurant in The San Gabriel Valley in 1951 and more restaurant have been established since then. There are now more The Hat restaurants in areas such as Alhambra, and other parts of the SGV, such as the intersection on Valley and Garfield.

- The improvements that this lead needs is more information and the quantity that is eaten by the customers could be written differently and more effectively.
