- re: sock puppet notice. A sock puppet is a deliberate attempt to deceive. I make edits from work and from home, and wikipedia has gotten so stupid with regards to bitter little admins deleting everything in sight with little or no thought, that I simply stopped signing in or taking pride in most contributions. If I do decide to start a new article, which requires a log in, I use my name. If I make an edit I want to attach my name to, I log in. Otherwise, I make edits without attaching my name to them.
