The thick flattened lips forming the aperture of this species are so disposed as to give the mouth, in many individuals, the appearance of a key-hole, while in others, it is ear-shaped. The white tooth on the internal surface of the body whorl is not developed in some specimens. Found on bushes at Huaheine.
