Ullu is an Over-The-Top media streaming platform, owned and maintained by Vibhu Agarwal, founder and group CEO of Ullu and Atrangii.[2][3][4] It is currently available for Android and iOS.

Controversy and Legal action
Content controversy
- Obscene and soft-pornographic content
- In the absence of proper regulation rules, Ullu started featuring B grade,[13] erotic and Soft-Pornographic content since the COVID-19 pandemic 2020 for gaining more subscribers.[14][15] [13]
- Ullu still faces heavy criticism for sexually objectifying women in its shows and for the erotic, vulgar and soft-pornographic content.[16]
- A number of struggling and B-grade actresses were a part of these obscene shows.[17][18][19]
- Objectifying women
- Ullu presented women as sex objects in its shows, where actresses were depicted only for sexual pleasure, and have been exploited, lured or compelled to perform obscene acts.[20][21][17][22][23]
Legal action
- Maharashtra Cyber police has registered FIR against Ullu for showing Nudity, obscenity and indecent representation of women and hosting pornographic content on their platform.[24][25][17]
- The cases have been registered under Section 292 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Sections 67, 67(A) of the Information Technology (IT) Act, 2000, and Sections 3, 4 of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.[26]
- Two days after an other FIR was registered against the CEO of OTT platform Ullu, Vibhu Agarwal, for allegedly molesting a 28-year-old woman.[25]
Tie-ups
In February 2020, MX Player collaborated with the Ullu app for Adult shows. After a year, when the government announced intermediary guidelines for OTT platforms in February 2021, MX Player removed all shows of Ullu.[27]
