Turbo is a town at the border of Uasin Gishu County and kakamega countyKenya, approximately 34 kilometers northwest of Eldoret town (the capital of the uasin gishu county), along the Nairobi-Malaba Road.

In 2009 it had a population of 35,000 people. People from the Kalenjin tribe are the most numerous inhabitants, although TheTachoni, Kikuyu, Somali and some Luhyia also occupy the town. Its main economic activity is agriculture.

It is home to the 5th President of Kenya, William Samoei Ruto.
