Categorisation

That's the whole point. The template is placed at the top of the category which it populates; which is useful if, for instance, either template or category are ever taken to XfD. And the |category= parameter is more popular and widely-used than |nocat=1 - I was giving people the opportunity to use either. Certainly there's no reason not to include either one. Ah OK, but if people used "category=", it wasn't linked (unless brackets are used in the parameter). But why is the <noinclude> </noinclude> there? EdokterTalk 16:26, 26 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
So that the template page, and only the template page, is categorised by a sort key beginning with a space, hence it appears at the top. All the instances are just sorted by {{PAGENAME}}. As I said, I found it in some template code a few weeks back and thought "Eh? Um... OH! Cool!!". Happymelon 16:37, 26 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Could we please use a free image in place of the copyrighted WMF image? MBisanz talk 02:49, 30 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Is this still relevant in the context of Mike Godwin's clarification that WMF logos can be used on wikimedia projects? Happymelon 10:46, 30 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
No, cancel this. MBisanz talk 17:33, 30 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Could you by chance give a link to that clarification so it doesn't come up again? Adam McCormick (talk) 16:26, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
