Font support

edit

@Malurian123 and DePiep: I am trying to add support for the Yezidi script, it has a font, but it does not seem to be working. Do you know what the issue could be? --Glennznl (talk) 12:41, 19 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

@DePiep: Thanks, but it does not seem to be working yet: 𐺀 --Glennznl (talk) 12:55, 19 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
;-) I am not that familiar with font-setting. Will look a bit more. -DePiep (talk) 12:56, 19 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
I just edited the main Script template to allow Yezidi font support. Malurian123 (talk) 12:58, 19 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
There is {{Unicode chart Yezidi}}. Looking for test examples. -DePiep (talk) 13:00, 19 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Malurian123: Thanks. Does the example work for you now? I don't see it yet. Perhaps Wikipedia does not have the Noto Serif Yezidi font yet, but I don't know how to check this. --Glennznl (talk) 13:02, 19 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Example from /doc page:
{{Script|Yezi|𐺁𐺂𐺄𐺅𐺇𐺈𐺊𐺋𐺍}}𐺁𐺂𐺄𐺅𐺇𐺈𐺊𐺋𐺍 (uses {{Script/Yezidi}})
With me, the template does not improve (both LH and RH characters do not show, placeholders instead).
Must say, over here (Firefox), none of the demo's in {{Script/doc}} resolve a font. That is: when not showing in the lefthand size (default fonts), they do not show in righthand size either (when template is applied).
End of my knowledge here, hope that Malurian123 can help. -DePiep (talk) 13:24, 19 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
