Notes edit

Unfortunately the Hindu mythology portal has mythology capitalized, but the Greek one does not, and this looks unprofessional. One should be changed: I suggest the Hindu one, because mythology is not a proper noun, and we do not capitalize all words in Wikipedia articles.--Dchmelik (talk) 12:45, 26 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Topics missing edit

Shouldn't Deism, Theism, and Paganism belong on this list? They seem just as valid to me. If you have Atheism and Nontheism, shouldn't you have theism? deisenbe (talk) 20:00, 27 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

If there's no response here after a week, try Portal talk:Religion. It's not technically the correct place, but it's close, and it has 146 watchers vs "fewer than 30" for this page. ―Mandruss  07:08, 28 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Out of control edit

This is getting too big to be useful. I propose we split at least the Christianity section of this browsebar into a Template:Christianity portals browsebar. Islam and other religions with several subportals may wish to follow.--JFH (talk) 02:14, 21 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Denominational classification edit

Currently, there are some obvious inconsistencies regarding denominational classification in this browsebar. For example, only "Oriental Orthodoxy" is treated as a second-class denomination, and placed under non-denominational and purely regional designation for "Eastern Christianity", together with purely ritual designation for "Syriac Christianity". In order to correct that, non-denominational (regional and ritual) designations like "Eastern Christianity" and "Syriac Christianity" should be placed within "Christianity", since other such designations are already classified there, while denominational designation for "Oriental Orthodoxy" should be upgraded to the same level as all other Christian denominations.
