Confused about the examples

Sorry to bother, but aren't the examples... botched? It seems to be the same line, copied & pasted, with an extra space on the 1^st parameter, and nothing more... not even the original {{markup2}} code to produce the finished examples is shown.

I've looked at some older entries in history, and there certainly was — in the past — a working example with the code to produce it. Maybe someone removed it by mistake?
