Expanding 0 one more level (001, 002, etc.) for 0-padded cats edit

The Mol Man, Fram, or anyone capable: very large categories, such as Category:Main-belt asteroids and Category:Numbered asteroids have many 1000s of 0-padded 6-digit entries. Currently, only links to 0, 01, 02, ..., 09 exist, allowing the user to advance in steps of 10,000. It would be useful to have 1 more level of depth, to allow the user to advance in steps of 1000, either in this template or maybe as a new one (like "Large category TOC numeric padded"). Can someone make/add this?

Here's a summary (horizontally offset text is intentional & aligned on the "-" and "=" in each row):

pad range: 00000 -0000   = 98     (appear on first page of category) (current behavior)
num range:      1-    99 = 98

pad range: 0000  -000    = 900    (appear on first 5 pages of category) (current behavior)
num range:     99-   999 = 900

pad range: 000   -00     = 9000   (split up using 001, 002, ..., 009) (requested behavior)
num range:    999-  9999 = 9000

pad range: 00    -0      = 90,000 (split up using 01, 02, ..., 09) (current behavior)
num range:   9999- 99999 = 90,000

pad range: 0     -9      =900,000 (split up using 1, 2, ..., 9) (current behavior)
num range:  99999-999999 =900,000
