Additional Fields edit

I added the "Top Try-scorer(s)" field, and it appears to have worked. But I don't know how to make it work on pages that the template is already in.--Jeff79 22:02, 9 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please disregard. Figured it out :-) --Jeff79 02:25, 10 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Commas for thousands edit

There's a comma between thousands for attendance but not for points (which makes me think this has just been taken from a soccer template or something). How can we put one in there?--Jeff79 00:43, 9 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yep it was taken from the FIFA World Cup template. I wouldn't have a clue how to include the comma - the coding for both attendance and points scored appears to be the same, making me think that the code is programmed only to include commas only if there are more than 4 numerals. mdmanser 03:36, 9 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

How does it appear on YOUR computer? edit

Just on the season infoboxes, I really hate that gap created by having the '(s)' in 'Top points scorer(s)' forced onto its own line. Rather than make the infobox any wider, how about we change it to 'Top try-scorer(s)' and 'Top point-scorer(s)' (which I personally prefer anyway). Someone was adamant that it should be 'try scorer' and 'points scorer' in a previous discussion. I can't remember if that was you or not. But surely removing that stupid space is the lesser of two evils.--Jeff79 (talk) 07:53, 18 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yeah that would have been me, simply because it is proper Commonwealth English to not use hyphens (I remember looking this up at the time) and for plural/non plural to be used for "points scorer" and "try scorer". But in regards to your comment about it the "(s)" being forced onto its own line, I'm not really sure what you mean. Is there a line break occurring on your browser at that point with the phrase being shown on two lines instead? Let me know, cheers. MDM (talk) 08:07, 18 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Oh you don't see it? I get it at home (where I use vista and the latest Internet Explorer) and here at work (where I use XP and an older IE version). I assumed everyone saw the same thing. Wierd. For me it's like this:

Top points scorer So-and-so (X points)
(s)
Top try scorer(s) Whatshisname (X tries)

Maybe I should start a discussion on the template talk page just asking around to see what others get.--Jeff79 (talk) 09:01, 18 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Some ideas for improvement edit

  1. Having the attendance info separated into two lines "Aggregare attendance" and "Average attendance" and putting   or   beside them.
  2. Having links to following and preceding seasons at the bottom.
