Wikilinks for parameter definitions? edit

Hi! I notice that none of the "Definition Parameters", "time_start"', "GSSP" stuff, etc. is linked to their definition articles. Ironical :-)

Is that intentional?

Number formatting: negative number "above modern" edit

At Cryogenian this template produces -9 °C above modern. If presented as negative, this should be a minus sign, which could be produced with {{formatnum}} (−9 °C). Better though would be to say 9 °C below modern. Hairy Dude (talk) 22:00, 15 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

  Fixed --- added logic for above/below modern temperature — hike395 (talk) 12:38, 16 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Formatting in the vertical timeline edit

The Quaternary timeline messes up the Holocene text in some browsers. In Chrome browser it is vertical with Pleistocene, but chopped off so you only see "cene", in IE it is horizontal above the timeline with an arrow (this seems like the more appropriate position to me), but it is barely visible, being chopped off by the border of the image. I'm guessing this is a problem with the image edge not being extended when text is popped out of a box that is too small, but also the text is not being popped out consistently.   Fixed Unrelated to below -- it was a bug in the template — hike395 (talk) 09:28, 4 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Nice! It's one of the best doohickies I've seen on Wikipedia, I'm glad to see it's well supported :) MasterTriangle12 (talk) 10:04, 4 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
That might be related to the div-span-flip lint errors this template is now causing in 12 geology articles, for example, Kungurian. —Anomalocaris (talk) 07:54, 4 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
  Maybe --- I may have fixed the lint errors (by converting {{Vertical text}} to produce a span). — hike395 (talk) 09:02, 4 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
hike395: Thanks. If there were any {{Vertical text}} wrapping a <div>...</div>, we would now have div-span-flips, but there aren't any, so, not to worry. Looks good, thanks! —Anomalocaris (talk) 18:18, 4 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

GSSA edit

4 extra parameters were added a few days ago — lower_gssa_coords / lower_gssa_location / upper_gssa_coords / upper_gssa_location. I have updated the template to also check for these, so that the error tracking category is happy again. I have also added them to the documentation. Please can these changes be checked by somebody who knows what GSSA means — GhostInTheMachine talk to me 17:18, 4 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Everything you did looks great; I don't think anything needs changing. Thank you so much for you help, and I apologize for the late response. Benniboi01 (talk) 03:03, 3 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
