If you're getting an error.... edit

At least part of the template is case-sensitive, so typing "ID=" won't get you the correct results; make sure it's "id=". Starryharlequin 15:02, 14 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Corrected example edit

The example said:

  1. Searching for "The Producers", you'll get to this page: http://www.ibdb.com/production.asp?ID=10610
  2. Copy "10510" and then write:
{{ibdb title|id=10510|title=The Producers}}

The result is: The Producers at the Internet Broadway Database

No it isn't, because the example said

{{ibdb title...

instead of

{{ibdb show...

I've fixed the example and the template, and used it in Guys and Dolls#External links. But there may be many pages where someone copied the example and filled in the blanks, as I did, without checking the result, making an incorrect link.

BTW, I've also moved Starryharlequin's contribution down a level.

Proposal Description parameter like the IMDB templates or inject description "shows" or "productions" edit

I think this template needs a description parameter like the IMDB templates TITLE DESCRIPTION at IMDb For example The Crucible

OR

This SHOW template should inject something like "List of Broadway productions" and the TITLE template should inject something like the word "Production"

Because currently a single production (IBDB title template) and a list of productions (IBDB show template) display exactly the same. --Jeffkw (talk) 17:01, 3 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

I added a |description= parameter similar to {{IMDb title}} and others. See the template's documentation for examples. -- Zyxw (talk) 18:59, 8 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
