Template talk:Drop down list

Mobile malfunction

edit

Drop-down lists cannot be collapsed on smartphones. I tested this behavior in Wikipedia app and in many browsers for Android (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:Drop_down_list).

They do work in Android browsers with the option "desktop mode", but the readibility is poor.

I am wondering why? Riccardo Casini (talk) 07:09, 13 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Cleanup Id section, corrections in Color section

edit

Hello

  1. I removed some extraneous html 'dropdown' code from the Id section of this page, and provided an example Id.
  2. I corrected an example and some punctuation in the Color section.

I trust this meets with approval ! jw (talk) 22:11, 21 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Id parameter

edit

No reason is given for the statement that "the Id parameter for each list should be different and unique (if using more than one on the same page)".
This very page has several lists, of which two lists have different Ids, and the other lists have none.

Can someone please clarify whether this condition refers to using more than one list on the same page - or - more than one Id.
And ... why? A brief justification or reason would also be useful.
