What's the point of this template?

In almost all cases, it's going to be overridden by the magic word, no? It's only used on three pages, all of which are User namespace, one of which is a sandbox. I got the template and the magic word confused until I noticed it's 12-hour time instead of 24. Can we get rid of it to avoid confusion, since it's barely used? — W.andrea (talk) 17:34, 9 December 2023 (UTC)

I just found :Category:Pages which use a template in place of a magic word § Explanation, which seems to explain it, so that's a nay on getting rid of it, though I'm not sure why the 12-hour vs 24-hour difference. — W.andrea (talk) 17:44, 9 December 2023 (UTC)
