Regarding issues of length and relevance edit

I wanted to briefly leave some general commentary regarding this 'Further Reading' template. I will concede that this template is an admirable effort intended to make it easier to create new Connecticut hiking articles. However, in practice, it produces an awkwardly lengthy 'Further Reading' section. And in fact, given the limited scope of the articles for which its intended, it really pushes the boundary of what could be considered a sensible 'Further Reading' section. Frankly, the list of works on general Connecticut geography shouldn't even be included. Those works perhaps belong with the Connecticut article, with various corresponding Connecticut geography articles or perhaps even with various Connecticut county/town articles where they would be more directly relevant. Readers can find them at those types of pages if they are so inclined. They are truly too general and too loosely associated with most hiking trails to really be acceptable, relevant entries in an appended 'Further Reading' list. —Jgcoleman (talk) 16:04, 30 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Jgcoleman, I agree, you should nominate it for deletion at WP:TFD. Frietjes (talk) 13:57, 28 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
