Optional parameters

• attention – set |attention=yes if the article needs immediate attention from experienced editors. Use only if another parameter does not cover the need for attention; this should be used sparingly. It is strongly encouraged to also add a section to the talk page explaining what needs attention.
  • This parameter populates Category:Women's sport articles needing attention.
• basketball – set |basketball=yes if the article is supported by the Women's basketball task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:Women's basketball task force articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Women's basketball articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• boxing – set |boxing=yes if the article is supported by the Women's boxing task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:Women's boxing task force articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Women's boxing articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• class – valid values are fa, a, ga, b, c, start, stub, fl, list, category, disambig, draft, file, portal, project, template, na (case-insensitive). See the project's quality scale for details. Setting an explicit value of NA is rarely necessary; for this, either leave |class= blank or omit the parameter.
• cricket – set |cricket=yes if the article is supported by the Women's cricket task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:Women's cricket task force articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Women's cricket articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• fieldhockey – set |fieldhockey=yes if the article is supported by the Women's field hockey task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:Women's field hockey task force articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Women's field hockey articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• figureskating – set |figureskating=yes if the article is supported by the Women's figure skating task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:Women's figure skating task force articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Women's figure skating articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• footy – set |footy=yes if the article is supported by the Women's football / soccer task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:Women's football task force articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Women's football articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.

• importance – valid values are: top, high, mid, low, na (case-insensitive). See the project's importance scale for details. Setting an explicit value of NA is rarely necessary; for this, either leave |importance= blank or omit the parameter.
• listas – This parameter, which is the equivalent of the DEFAULTSORT sortkey that should be placed on all biographical articles, is a sortkey for the article talk page (e.g. for Anita Lonsbrough, use |listas=Lonsbrough, Anita so that the talk page will show up in the L's and not the A's of the various assessment and administrative categories). This is important because it is one source used by those who set DEFAULTSORT on the article; consider also setting the DEFAULTSORT for the article when setting this parameter.   If the article is using {{WikiProject banner shell}} then it is preferable to add |listas= to that template instead of a project banner template. Putting the parameter on more than one template is not required.
• martialarts – set |martialarts=yes if the article is supported by the Women's martial arts task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:Women's martial arts task force articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Women's martial arts articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• mma – set |mma=yes if the article is supported by the Women's MMA task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:Women's MMA task force articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Women's mixed martial arts articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• needs-infobox – set |needs-infobox=yes if the article needs an infobox. Remember that infoboxes are not suitable for all articles, and can overwhelm short articles.
  • This parameter populates Category:Women's sport articles needing infoboxes.
• needs-photo – set |needs-photo=yes to request that a photograph be included in the article to improve its quality.
  • This parameter populates Category:Wikipedia requested photographs of women athletes.
• netball – set |netball=yes if the article is supported by the Women's Netball task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:Women's netball task force articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Women's netball articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• softball – set |softball=yes if the article is supported by the Women's Softball task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:Women's softball task force articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Women's softball articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• swimming – set |swimming=yes if the article is supported by the Women's swimming task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:Women's swimming task force articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Women's swimming articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• tennis – set |tennis=yes if the article is supported by the Women's tennis task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:Women's tennis task force articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Women's tennis articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
  • tennis-importance (only used if |tennis=yes is set; uses the same values as |importance=) – Importance rating within the Women's tennis task force. If blank or omitted, the importance rating set by |importance= is used.
    • This importance rating populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Women's tennis articles by importance.
• volleyball – set |volleyball=yes if the article is supported by the Women's volleyball task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:Women's volleyball task force articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Women's volleyball articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• wnba – set |wnba=yes if the article is supported by the WNBA task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:WNBA task force articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:WNBA articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• auto – This parameter is for the use of bots and indicates that the article has been automatically rated:
  • |auto=length – based on the length of the article
  • |auto=inherit – because one or more other projects use this class
  • |auto=yes (or |auto=stub), in conjunction with |class=stub – as Stub-Class because it uses a stub template
    • Use of the above values (or value combinations) with this parameter populates Category:Automatically assessed Women's sport articles.
• category – set |category=no if, and only if, a banner is being used for demonstration or testing purposes, to prevent unnecessary or undesirable categorization. Otherwise, omit this parameter.
