Please note: This template should be transcluded {{WikiProject IRC}} and not substituted (subst) because it employs conditional code. Transclusion also allows all instances of this template to be updated without having to edit a large number of pages.

{{WikiProject IRC}} is a template used for article assessments by WikiProject IRC. To use this template, add it to the talk page of an article with the class and importance parameters.

Assessment parameters

  • class – These options are used to classify articles: FA, FL, A, GA, B, C, Start, Stub, List, Current, Future. For other pages, these options may be used: Portal, Redirect, Needed, Merge, Dab (or Disambig), Cat (or Category), Project, Template, Img (or Image), NA. This parameter places articles into a subcategory of Category:IRC articles by quality. If blank, this will default to Unassessed. NA is "not applicable".   • importance – Top, High, Mid, Low, NA This parameter places articles into a subcategory of Category:IRC articles by importance. If blank, this will default to Unknown. NA is "not applicable". Descriptions of the options may be found at WikiProject IRC assessment importance scale.

Maintenance parameters

  • attention – Answer yes if the article needs immediate attention. This parameter places articles into Category:IRC articles needing attention. Use this parameter only if another parameter below does not cover the need for attention.
  • needs-infobox – Answer yes if the article needs an infobox. This parameter places articles into Category:IRC articles without infoboxes.
  • needs-image – Answer yes if the article needs an image such as a screenshot, logo, etc. This parameter places articles into Category:IRC articles needing images.
  • auto – This option is for the use of bots. Projects which use bots to automatically categorize articles as stubs, if they include a stub template, can have the bot add |auto=yes to the project banner, which triggers the display of a small notice that the article was tagged by a bot rather than a human. This parameter places articles into Category:Automatically assessed IRC articles.
