This is a documentation subpage for Template:Unlocked userpage. It may contain usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
This template should not be substituted. |
By default, new users are prohibited from editing primary userpages of other users, enforced by an edit filter. This template may be used to bypass this check and allow any user to edit your userpage.
Usage
editPlace {{unlocked userpage}}
anywhere on your userpage. Note the filter looks for the exact string {{unlocked userpage}}
; do not change the capitalization or spacing as you would be able to do with other templates.
Only admins and you as the userpage owner are permitted to add or remove the template from your own userpage.
This template does not have any visual effect, and only works on the base userpage. If you want any other pages in your userspace to be protected, you must request it at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. This template does not work if substituted or written on other capitalization: {{Unlocked userpage}}
does not work.
If you want to reprotect your userpage as base protection, you have to remove the template. Hiding it using <!-- {{unlocked userpage}} -->
does not work.
