Template:Pmcon/doc

This template my be used to convert proper motion measurements between (magnitude, position angle) with uncertainty and (right ascension, declination) with uncertainty.

Usage

Terminology

• magnitude is the magnitude of the proper motion in mas/year
• magnitude uncertainty is the uncertainty of the magnitude of the proper motion in mas/year
• position angle is the angle of the proper motion in degrees
• position angle uncertainty is the uncertainty of the angle of the proper motion in degrees
