This template is designed to take the hassle out of starting a sortable season table, and to standardise the layout of season tables whether sortable or not.

The standard usage of this to simply type {{Football season start}}, which produces

Parameters edit
All parameters are optional, although use of the country parameter is highly recommended.
- |country This parameter allows the user to specify which country the team plays in. It provides customised wikilinks for cup competitions based on the country that the team plays in. For instance, an English club would use {{Football season start|country=ENG}}, which produces:
