Women's soccer in South Africa edit

5x expanded by Nathan121212 (talk). Self nominated at 18:32, 6 May 2014 (UTC).

  • Article is new enough (5x expanded on 6 May) and long enough (1506 characters). Prose is neutral, no paraphrasing/copyvio/plagiarism detected, but has a couple of problems:
  • (1) The section on National Team has no citations/references
  • (2) The article uses phrases such as "currently" and "to date", these should be replaced by "As of year" (or other time period), preferably using {{As of}}, to prevent the article from becoming dated
  • (3) The hook and article claim there is no women's soccer league in South Africa, but what about the Absa Women's League [1][2], which isn't mentioned in the article?
Hook formatting seems okay, but see point (3) above. QPQ has been done. - Evad37 [talk] 13:37, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
Comment: I'm working on the issues raised. The sources provided don't specifically say whether a season of the ABSA women's league has ever taken place. I'll look for a source, but if not it won't be added to the article. Nathan121212 (talk) 13:58, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
Fixed. Nathan121212 (talk) 15:40, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
Above problems have been addressed, so should be good to go - Evad37 [talk] 01:03, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
. I have reverted Hawkeye's promotion and removed this from the prep area, as discussed at Wikipedia talk:Did you know#And another.... In my opinion, an article that gets such basic facts wrong should never get to the main page, even if these problems get addressed eventually. But we don't have a DYKnever symbol...
