Wings for My Flight edit

Improved to Good Article status by Mz7 (talk). Self-nominated at 00:50, 22 October 2015 (UTC).

  • Comment: Not a review, but very nice job, Mz7. However, could the hook be reworded thus: ... that by the time of the events in Marcy Cottrell Houle's 1975 book Wings for My Flight, only 324 pairs of peregrine falcons resided in the United States? I read "that by the events" as "according to" rather than "by the time of," which I suspect is what is meant. LavaBaron (talk) 18:02, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
@LavaBaron: I see your confusion. The book was actually published in 1991. The book discusses events that took place in 1975. I've included an alternate hook that hopefully clarifies this. Thanks for the comment! Mz7 (talk) 20:38, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
Makes sense! Everything else on the DYK-scale checks out, so ALT-1 looks good to me. LavaBaron (talk) 21:23, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
  • I just promoted this, not realizing that there is no review here. However, I did double-check all the DYK criteria, including newness (nominated one day after it reached GA status), length, sourcing, neutrality, no close paraphrasing (checked against Earwigs), hook ref verified and cited inline, no QPQ necessary for first-time nominator.
