  • This page existed as a new, unreviewed article in February 2013. KAVEBEAR has fully referenced it and brought it up to speed. But since this is not a BLP, I'm not sure if it qualifies for DYK unless it was expanded 5x. Pinging @BlueMoonset: for advice here. Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 06:52, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
  • @Yoninah: Everything before December 1 was the edit history of User:Kuauli's userspace draft. See my request for the history merge here,--KAVEBEAR (talk) 07:01, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
  • Oh, that's great. I was wondering what was going on here. OK, here is a full review: New enough, long enough, neutrally written, well referenced, no close paraphrasing seen. Offline hook ref AGF and cited inline. I think the hook could be jazzed up a bit with that word "unauthorized" that you used in the article, as:
  • ALT1: ... that William Hoapili Kaʻauwai (pictured) traveled to Europe with Queen Emma, but made an unauthorized side trip to New Zealand to recruit Māori immigrants for the Kingdom of Hawaii?
  • QPQ done. Yoninah (talk) 07:06, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
  • Let's go with your suggestion.-KAVEBEAR (talk) 07:15, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
  • Thanks. But since I added new information, I'll have to leave this to another reviewer to approve. Yoninah (talk) 07:26, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
Qualifies as new article, neutral and now with inline citations and properly referenced bibliography. No problems with Earwig's copyvio. Alt1 is good and catchy, and citation is good, contained in a pdf document. QPQ is done and image is free of copyright issue as we can safely assume the author is dead + 100 years. Interesting read, thanks Mramoeba (talk) 22:37, 24 January 2017 (UTC)
