Transylvanian peasant revolt

edit
  • ... that the Transylvanian peasant revolt broke out after the local bishop had suspended the collection of the tithe for years, but only to demand the arrears in one sum? Source: "In 1433, Bishop Lepes added further strain to this already tense situation by suspending the collection of the tithe in the entire territory of his bishopric... . .... In 1436, when a new currency was issued with a value close to that of the pre-1433 coins, Bishop Lepes renewed the collection of the tithe and demanded that it be paid retroactively..." ([1])
    • ALT1:... that nine leaders of the Transylvanian peasant revolt were executed at the assembly of the Transylvanian noblemen, Saxons and Székelys in 1438? Source: "On 2 February, the delegates of the three 'nations' assembled at Torda and solemnly confirmed their union. Then the nobles settled their accounts with the rebels. The latter's leaders were tortured and killed..." ([2]) " The captured peasant leaders-nine of them altogether-were taken to the rural town of Torda, where they were tortured and put on the stake. At a meeting held at Torda on February 2, 1438, the "three Transylvanian nations" confirmed the Union of Kapolna." ([3])

  • This is a newly promoted GA and is new enough and long enough. The hooks are interesting. Its facts are cited inline, the article is neutral, and I detected no policy issues. Earwig is clear. The offline (and Hungarian language) sources I could not see, but I WP:AGF. That this article is a WP:GA and was edited by WP:GOCE supports the inference. Of course, every paragraph is cited. QPQ confirmed (not yet promoted; not a requirement). 7&6=thirteen () 20:26, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
