Article looks to be new and long enough. Looks to be well-sourced as far as I can tell. QPQ is done. I think the hook is just missing some context for readers with no outside knowledge. (For example, the language in the article lead uses the phrase "the Blue Angel pilots of the United States Navy".) Either hook can potentially work, and it will become a question of length. Hello. Bruxton asked me to stop by and offer some ALT hooks, so here you go. At the very least, perhaps they inspire more hooks.

ALT2: ... that the Blue Angels inspired Top Gun and that The Blue Angels was co-produced by a Top Gun: Maverick star? [1]
ALT3: ... that The Blue Angels captured the story of their first female fighter jet pilot "through a fluke of production timing"? [2]
ALT4: ... that The Blue Angels was shot using IMAX cameras rigged to a helicopter? [3]
ALT5: ... that The Blue Angels was shot using IMAX cameras rigged to a helicopter, plus an ultra-high-speed camera shooting at 1,000 frames per second? [4] [5]
ALT6: ... that the filming of The Blue Angels was the first time civilian aircraft was allowed to fly inside "the box"? [6]

These all have potential! The best one for clarity is ALT3, because it makes it clear that this relates to jet pilots. But it would be a little better if it made it clear that this is about a film. The others (particularly ALT4 and ALT5) aren't clear on this fact. They could all be made clear with just a little more context (e.g.: the film is about jet pilots), because I think that some of the others are more interesting. ALT5 seems the most interesting to me and it is confirmed and in the article. Seems we already ran the first female on DYK and firsts are getting too much scrutiny lately. Lightburst (talk) 16:58, 18 June 2024 (UTC)
