  • size, age ok, hook faithful to source (though one says 3 mill), cited, no copyvio, just strikes me as not an unusual fact (surely many insect colonies have a million critters?), looking at a source, something about them protecting pest mealy bugs or being transported in cut flowers sounds more interesting. @Casliber: Several million ants in a single colony seems quite impressive to me, and lots of species of ant protect sap-sucking insects, but we could have
