  • ... that in 1997, Taufa Vakatale became the first female Deputy Prime Minister of Fiji? Source: [1]

  • Article created on 12 May and nominated on 14 May. So falls within 7 day range. Inline source provided for the hook. QPQ provided. This is good to go. - Vivvt (Talk) 16:44, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
  • Hi, I came by to promote this, but I wonder if being the first deputy prime minister will be regarded as significant. (Perhaps for Fiji, but in the rest of the world?) Reading the article, it appears she achieved many firsts throughout her life. There may be a cute hook hiding in all her "firsts" as a girl. Alternatively:
  • ALT1: ... that Taufa Vakatale was the first indigenous Fijian woman to serve as a secondary school principal, to be elected as a cabinet minister, and to be president of her political party? Yoninah (talk) 21:04, 23 May 2017 (UTC)
  • @Yoninah: That's a great hook, thanks. She was a real trailblazer so there were many "firsts" to choose from, and I thought that deputy PM was the biggest achievement. But your alt does a good job of combining several firsts concisely. @Vivvt: Would you be able to check the alt and add another tick if you're happy with it? Thanks. 97198 (talk) 08:55, 24 May 2017 (UTC)
  • This looks good to me. Please proceed. - Vivvt (Talk) 04:33, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
