Tarabya of Pegu edit

  • ... that Tarabya, the self-proclaimed king of Pegu, was executed on the order of King Wareru of Martaban, who was his father-in-law and son-in-law? Sources: on the execution, see (Harvey 1925: 110) and (Pan Hla 2005: 32); on the relationship between the two men, see (Pan Hla 2005: 30) and (Phayre 1873: 41).
    • ALT1:... King Tarabya of Pegu was beheaded on the order of King Wareru of Martaban despite Wareru's daughter having tied her tresses to his to stop the execution?? Source: (Harvey 1925: 110), (Pan Hla 2005: 32)

  • This article is new enough and long enough. I was at first not convinced that the hook facts on their relationship were correct, but on further thoughts, I think they are. The article is neutral and "Earwig" did not bring up any issues. QPQ has been done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:22, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
  • Hi, I came by to promote this, but I would like to see the hook fact stated plainly in the article and cited: "He married the daughter of Wareru and his daughter married Wareru". Also, I think you have a much hookier fact in Tarabya's wife tying her tresses with his to thwart the executioner, but he succeeded in beheading him anyway. Yoninah (talk) 22:32, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
  • @Yoninah: I've rewritten the sentence for better clarity, and added ALT1 here. See if ALT1 is a better hook. Thanks. Hybernator (talk) 16:00, 6 August 2017 (UTC)
  • Thank you for making those familial relationships much clearer in the article. Now ALT0 works, and it is a good hook. Let's go with that. Restoring tick per Cwmhiraeth's review. Yoninah (talk) 17:38, 6 August 2017 (UTC)
