Rhydian Cowley

edit
  • Comment: If promoted; hold for Olympics on August 12th when Cowley competes. No QPQ required as I have only two DYK credits (and that this is only my 5th total DYK nom - I have 2 reviews yet that I won't be credited for until the Olympics)

Created by Yellow Dingo (talk). Self-nominated at 06:12, 26 July 2016 (UTC).

  • The article is new enough, having been created on 26 July 2016 and nominated the same day. The prose is long enough; more than 2,200 characters by my count. Concerning policy, the article is neutrally written, properly sourced and appears to be clear of any paraphrasing problems. The format and content of the hook are both acceptable. Finally QPQ is not required per the nomination. So I am giving this a clearance tick now and please note the requested date of August 12th.
I do have a comment for the author Yellow Dingo though. Given that the entry is likely to appear in about 10 days, it would be good if some more biographical background could be provided about the subject before then. From a quick google search it appears he is from Glen Waverley, Victoria ([1]), went to Melbourne High School ([2]) and Deakin University ([3]) and started athletics at the age of 8 [4]). These inclusions would make it a more rounded biography of the subject. Currently it reads more like a results summary of somebody from somewhere in Australia.
