  • New enough. Long enough. QPQ done. Article is well-sourced & has no policy issues. No Copyvio problems. Hook is very interesting & cited. Image appears properly licensed. I think everything here is G2G! DaltonCastle (talk) 02:22, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
  • The source doesn't say David ate the cake, just that he distributed it. Yoninah (talk) 13:24, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
  • Thanks for the new hook and source. However, I really question the veracity of these two sources. Bowman is connecting the asisah (Hebrew: אשישה, "sweet cake") of II Samuel 6:19 with the asisah anavim (Hebrew: אשישה ענבים, "raisin cake") of Hosea 3:1, which is not at all verified. Classical Jewish sources don't even translate asisah as "cake", but rather as "barrel of wine" — see verse 6:19 here with Rashi's commentary. Unless you can find more authoritative sources, I would strike this paragraph from the article and write a different hook. Yoninah (talk) 16:51, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
  • Below are more sources stating that David distributed raisin cake. North America1000 17:25, 19 December 2016 (UTC)

  • OK. Perhaps you could replace the cookbook sources with some of the more authoritative sources quoted above? Yoninah (talk) 17:32, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
  • Thank you. ALT1 is verified and cited inline. Rest of review per DaltonCastle. Good to go. Yoninah (talk) 17:55, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
Sorry, got to this late. Sorry I couldn't be of more service. Thank you Yoninah for your expert eyes. Glad it all worked out. DaltonCastle (talk) 20:12, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
